Photo Selection and Photoshop editing

idnetify 5 photos based on technical accuracy Pass - Bronze
identify 5 photos based on fitness for purpose Merit - Silver
identify 5 photos aesthetics and give reasoning Distinction - Gold

Photo Check list:

  1. Technical quality
  2. Star rating
  3. Fit for purpose
  4. Content

Photoshop -
  • Tiny Impression -Filter, Blur, Tilt Shift, Symmetrical distortion
  • Artistic Effects, Filter, Filter gallery


Adobe Bridge -
Using Adobe Bridge photos can be sorted into appropriate sections using ratings and labels. Labels come in five different colours and each colour represents a different meaning the default settings are:

  1. Select is Red - This means you want to highlight these photos for a particular reason
  2. Second is Yellow - This means they are almost as good and can be used as a back up
  3. Approved is Green - This means that the photo is approved and can move on to editing
  4. Review is Blue - This means you can rate and analyse the photos later
  5. To Do is Purple - This means they are yet to be looked at eg. might run out of time
  6. Also Reject is an option - This means that the photo is irrelevant
Other than labels star ratings can be used to categorize photos:
  1. 1 Star - 
  2. 2 Star - 
  3. 3 Star - 
  4. 4 Star - 
  5. 5 Star -
